in order of preference
1 - walking - you get to see stuff and talk to people.

2 - duk duk (tuk tuk?) little three wheeled motorcycle carriage. quaint.

3 - motorcycle (for purposes of this readable-by-mom post, i always wear a helmet on these extraordinarily unsafe vehicles). always a good thrill to talk to your driver about his various previous crashes (mean crash history for motorcycle/mutatu drivers ive used: 3) while your on the road. anyway, gets through traffic and open air.

4 - bycicle - riding on the back -- bumpy but fun until you fall

5 - taxi - expensive, but taxi drivers are invariably entertaining (and one of the more tribalist groups ive encountered)

6 - mutatu - all about choosing the right one with the right music . and not sitting next to big people

7 - front of the bus - squished but pretty much like a mutatu

8 - donkey - how long did human society rely on these? glad i missed it.

9 - back of the bus - nothing more annoying that falling asleep only to have your head hit the roof or some useless jutting metal rod when you go over the millions of speedbumps and bad roads in kenya. except being perfectly ready for the bump and STILL hitting your head/forearm/sholder/knee/butt/all of the baove. every damn time.
