as i wait in vain for google chrome to finish downloading so i dont have to wait so long for other things to download:
- kenyans say "pole" (sorry) when you screw something up for yourself (drop your cell phone or some such), but dont say it when they screw something up for you (knock your cell phone out of your hand). sorry is like "i feel your pain" not "my bad". as a frequent user of 'my bad' (by necessity and, now, habit) in whatever language, this earns me a lot of weird looks
