15 days or so. brief recap
went to lamu with former roomate. lamu is a beautiful island city near somali border. we spent three and a half days there. it was awesome.
moved into an apartment with brother of man in my NGO. brother's name is charles, and he lives with his two cousins, david and bill. they own two hole-in-the-wall music and clothes shops, one in rongai one in nairbi. they are good people.
started work at KEDAN. pretty awesome organization. run almost exclusively by disabled kenyans. www.globalgiving.com/2364. they are moving from being a community org in Kibera slum to a national org and my job is going to be developing the advocacy / awareness strategy for the expansion.
